Superb form of Japanese Holly, with a columnar upright habit. A compact shrub that is evergreen and fine-textured, whose glossy green leaves resemble those of the Buxus family and provide a classic, dense look that is perfect for creating vertical accents in a landscape design.

A slow to moderate grower, ‘Green Pillar’ is well-suited for formal gardens, small spaces, and containers due to its columnar form. It produces small, inconspicuous white flowers in the spring, followed by black, berry-like fruits that add interest in the fall and winter, although they are not as profuse as other hollies.
