A large, vigorous, deciduous tree producing heavy crops of large-sized fruit with greenish-purple skin and light red flesh. Produces two crops per year, in early summer and late autumn. The fruit is richly flavoured and can be eaten fresh or used in desserts.

Prefers moist, well drained soil in a sunny, open position. Prune to a multi-stemmed, vase shape and trim back annually to keep the tree compact.
