    • A striking dark foliaged ‘laceleaf’ weeping Japanese maple that retains burgundy-black foliage well through summer. A robust small tree for small sheltered garden sites. Possibly has the darkest foliage colour of the Atropurpureum Group. Foliage is Very dark purple to burgundy-black, lustrous leaves, deeply incised with seven deeply serrated lobes, slightly wider than most A. palmatum 'Dissectum Atropurpureum' cultivars. Petioles dark burgundy-red. Autumn colour is crimson.
