An attractive fern with coarse, rough textured foliage that is bright red when new. An ideal contrasting fern that is prized for its spectacular colour. Ideal for giving ferneries some much needed colour. Performs equally well when planted in a container.

Best grown in a partly shaded  position in well drained, humus rich soil. The red colour of the foliage is intensified when this fern is exposed to greater amounts of sun light.
