A hardy evergreen shrub with large, green leaves. In winter new foliage is bright, crimson red. In spring, clusters of white flowers are borne followed by blue-black berries. Useful as either a short or tall hedge. Photinia is also an ideal plant for wind breaks.

Prefers a moist, well draining soil rich in organic matter. Plant in full sun or part shade. Water regularly after planting until established. Mulch well to suppress weed and reduce soil water loss.
