A popular, freestone, late season peach with excellent drying qualities. The large, round to oval fruit have yellow flesh and may be used fresh, but also suitable for juicing and stewing. Self fertile.

Grows best in a sunny, well drained, open position. Apply complete fertiliser in late winter. Prune after harvest, removing crowded and crossing branches to allow light to penetrate to the centre of the tree. Spray Blue Kocide in early spring to control peach leaf curl.

Description

Choose an open sunny position in well-drained soil. After planting spread mulch above the roots to retain moisture and suppress weeds, but keep away from trunk. Apply fertiliser to soil above the roots as soon as new growth begins in spring and water in well. Protect from strong winds. Consider netting to protect from birds. Correct pruning techniques are essential to the trees fruiting success. Before planting, prune well back to outward pointing buds. When established, prune in winter.
