Excellent feature specimen proving year round interest. This deciduous tree is highly valued for its ornamental form, leaves, flowers and fruit. Erect tree, round leaves, glossy dark green above and paler beneath, turning yellow, orange and red in Autumn.

Masses of small white flowers in Spring followed by small green-brown pears which ripen to yellow bronze from Autumn to Winter. Attractive for planting in rows or avenues, and in front of evergreen trees to showcase Autumn colour to full effect.

Suits fertile, moist, well drained soil in Full sun. Frost tolerant. Mulch to retain moisture and control weeds. Fertilise during the growing seasons.
