Excellent specimen tree providing year-round interest. This deciduous tree is valued for its ornamental shape, Spring blossom and reliable Autumn colour. A narrow pyramidal tree with attractive symmetrical branching, growing to approximately 10m x 5m in twenty years. It has a dense growth habit with glossy green leaves that turn reddish-orange and purple in Autumn. From early age, the tree is covered in masses of single white flowers in Spring. Ideal for avenue planting.
Prefers sun full, but is adaptable to most soils including dry and intermittently wet soils. Tolerates air pollution. Stake tree when young, mulch to help retain soil moisture and control weeds. Fertilise during the growing seasons, and prune in Winter if required.
