Emperor is an attractive, small, evergreen tree with glossy leaves and fragrant, creamy white blossoms. Great as a container plant in courtyards, feature tree in Mediterranean style gardens, espaliered along a sunny wall, or an ornamental tree. The fruit is highly nutritious, refreshing and excellent desserts, snacks and garnishes.

Description

Plant in a sunny position with well drained soil and sheltered from strong winds. Water regularly during the warmer months, especially when fruits are forming. In containers water 3-4 days, and more often in hot weather. Do not water the trunk. Fertilise in spring and late summer-early autumn with fertiliser high in nitrogen, do not allow to touch trunk. Prune in late spring removing inside weak growth and to shape the tree.
