A bushy, upright shrub with leathery, oblong leaves. In winter the tips of the upright stems develop golden flower bracts. Useful cut flower as a filler for floral arrangements. Ideal shrub for screening, wind breaks and shrubberies.

Grow in a sunny open position, in freely draining soil. Tolerates drought once established. Great for coastal conditions. Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth.
