Lilac Lace is one of the many selected seedlings from Hardenbergia violacea. It is a compact low bush shrub that produces a prolific mass display of pale purple pea-shaped flowers between winter to early spring.

Lilac Lace is useful for areas as an understorey planing, where low-level cover is required. It can be used for large landscape sites or small garden beds. This plant produces colour & nectar over the cooler months.

Description

Prefers morning sun and suitable for part shaded areas. It is adaptable to most well-drained soils and tolerates periods of dry conditions. It will require summer watering over prolonged periods where there is little to no rain.

It is best to initially feed with slow release general fertiliser to help establish the plant. A follow up with the occasional reapplication of fertiliser and apply as required is beneficial tot he plant. Mulching around the base of the plant will also help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
