Stocky, evergreen tree with a gnarled trunk and leathery foliage. Renowned for its spectacular summer fora display and decorative gum nuts. Flowers can be shades of white, pink, red or orange. Superb specimen tree for gardens, parks and farms and useful as a windbreak.

Prefers a sunny site with some protection from frost. Tolerates coastal conditions and short periods of dryness. Low maintenance. Water until established and mulch to preserve soil moisture.
