Coprosma Sahara Jewel is a striking evergreen plant growing to 1m high. It has bold, glossy, brilliant bronze-black foliage with a bright orange-red centre. Use for edging in the garden, in a pot or to bring highlights to your garden.

The foliage changes colour with the seasons, varying through shades of bronze to chocolate to black, with an emerald green to gold to orange-red centre. Colours are more intense in winter, perfect for when there is little other colour in the garden.

It grows best in a well-drained soil and prefers full sun, and grows well in most soil types, though drainage is essential. Use slow release fertiliser in spring.

  • Plant 50cm apart.
  • Matures to 1m x 1m.
  • Low maintenance, easy care.
  • Light pruning as required to shape.
