A clumping, evergreen perennial with dark green, strap-like leaves. Sturdy stems bear large rounded heads of cream or yellow flowers from mid-winter to spring.

Ideal for bringing splashes of colour to shady areas in the garden, and also does well in pots in shaded courtyards or on verandas.

Prefers a shady to semi-shaded position in well drained soils. Avoid planting in direct sun or afternoon sun.
