Great choice for backyards as it is a compact grower to approximately 4m tall. Used for fresh fruit, jam and preserving. A very large, round to heart-shaped fruit with good flavour. Mid-season maturity. Self pollinating. Produces large, heart shaped cherries with a red to almost black skin. Dark red flesh is firm and juicy with excellent flavour. Very productive in most areas suited to growing cherries. Well suited to growing in small spaces and containers. Universal pollen donor (providing blossom coincides). Partially self-fertile.

Prefer a sunny position in a humus-rich soil. This is a high chill cherry so requires cold winters for satisfactory fruiting.
