Exquisite, palest pink, formal, medium flowers with deeper pink petal margins. The blooms hold well on the upright, vigorous, dense bush.

Grows as a large, evergreen shrub with attractive, glossy, dark green, thick foliage. Large showy flowers are borne in early winter to mid spring. Camellia japonica has been in cultivation for around 300 years.

Description

Prefers early morning sun or part shade position. Shelter from the hot afternoon sun and wind. Can be planted under large trees. Dense shade restricts flowers.

Plant in well drained, slightly acidic soil. Before planting combine soil with organic matter for best results. Keep moist especially in hot, dry weather. Mulch well, but do not let the mulch to touch the trunk. May be lightly pruned to shape in spring. Feed in spring with a camellia fertiliser or a complete release fertiliser. Avoid lime.
