Slightly weeping branches bear a mass of bright red, bottlebrush flowers in Spring and Summer with spot flowering in Autumn. Ideal screening and hedging plant. Useful for roadside and commercial sites. Flowers attract nectar feeding birds.

Prefers moist, well-drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded site. Tolerates drought, coastal conditions and boggy soils. Prune lightly after flowering.
