A compact upright medium shrub with dense grey-green foliage and numerous glossy purple-maroon brushes in Spring and Autumn. Excellent screening plant, may be clipped as a hedge; ideal specimen in small gardens or streetscape.

Suited to cool temperate to sub tropical climates; moist to wet clay or sandy soils, neutral to acid pH. Prune well after flowering. Feed with low phosphorus native fertiliser early Spring or late Summer.
